re: OT Vets, how do you recognize potential dog bloat?

Vet probably gave your pooch a shot of Cerenia. I have to give my GSD half a pill anytime we travel because she gets car sick after about 20 minutes. It supposedly blocks the part of the brain the triggers the vomiting. My dog had the same symptoms of yours one time and when I called the vet they couldn't see her until that afternoon, but they had me give her the Cerenia to stop the vomiting and dehydration. It might not be a bad idea to keep a Rx on hand for these situations.
