OT Vets — Dog Seizure

Chihuahua (my wife’s) has seizure. Vet says congestive heart failure and possible abdominal mass.
Animal is 14. Thoughts? Prognosis?
No pics of wife or chihuahua.

Not a vet but as a dog owner I would probably have to put it down. Especially if the problem continues more frequently. Wouldn’t want my pup to suffer thru that and I would be extremely saddened about it but that seems to me like the humane thing to do.

Damn, my wife's Chihuahua was about 12-14 when he passed about a year ago. She had him long before we met, that's why I don't remember exactly age. He was having seizures every few weeks for the last year or so. One day I found him in a very lethargic state. We took him to the vet and they said his kidneys were shutting down/failing. They took him in the other room to run tests and one of the staff came rushing back in and said his heart stopped, they were giving him CPR....my wife lost it severely. They brought him back, for about 30 seconds, in which time my wife basically said goodbye...and that was it.
Don't mean to share such a sad story, but this post definitely brought that memory up for me...my point is maybe it's soon enough for your wife's dog to get some medication to help with an issue you can't see....or if nothing else be prepared for the worst soon, which I'm sure you already are.
