The boarding place and my vet have a pretty good racket going where I have to get whatever shots the boarding place demands.

You would be the person to want them to pay for treatment when your dog catches pneumonia there too if they didn’t vaccinate for respiratory diseases and blame them for not having good protocols lol

I've been in beagles for over fifty years.
I've raised dozens of litters.

Despite what the "experts", drug companies, tell me, I give one five way shot at twelve weeks.
It includes Parvo, Lepto, and Distemper. It has proven effective.
Of course the law requires a rabies shot.

Yes, but only until about 7 or 8 weeks. This is usually the time frame that dogs can be weened from their mother and sold.

Pups have inherited immunity from the mother up to about six weeks after they are weaned.

But I will emphasize that regardless of exposure those core vaccines especially as a young pup are a must regardless and that’s not debatable.

Thank you for your help.

Why wouldn't you just do what your vet says?

I am, and I will.

I just like to educate myself by reading and asking others before I step into anything.

I am. It's a strength and weakness of mine.

Make sure to put your dog on heartworm and flea/tick treatment.

Yes, I do, and I will.

I'll use Bravecto and Heartgard when the time comes.

Edit ...

I just learned that Bravecto (oral and topical) can't be used on puppies until they are at least 6 months old.

BRAVECTO 1-MONTH is vet recommended for dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older who weigh at least 4.4 lb.
