OT Veterans, Where all have you been stationed?

Where all have you been stationed, which place did you like the best and which did you hate the most(Deployments don't count, everyone hated those.)
I was Army 35G/91A/68A Medical Equipment Repair, 1992-2012.
AIT in Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center, Aurora Co
Fort Drum, NY
Panama City, Panama
Fort Hood, Texas
Wiesbaden and Dexheim, Germany
Fort Stewart, Ga
Bangkok, Thailand
Fort Polk, La
I liked Bangkok the best. I was married with kids and it's actually a pretty good place for families to live. And it was interesting to have to live on the economy and hot really have any local Army support.
I hated Fort Drum the most. I'm a Louisiana boy, so I couldn't stand the cold and snow.

My sis and her husband lived in Spain on the economy. They had a villa with a gardener and a housekeeper. They traveled all over the place and had tons of local friends. They were sad when they PCS'd back to the States. Meanwhile, most of the other Americans never left the base and bitched constantly. The MWR office had all kinds of excursions and cultural opportunities that were sparsely attended.

I worked in a Medical Research facility that was in a Thai Army Hospital. The closest Army installation was Camp Zama in Japan. That was a 6 hour flight from us. We were attached to the US Embassy for command and control reasons. We got to wear civilian clothes to work because the Embassy didn't want us running around town in uniform.
I'm pretty sure my ex-wife and I were the only military in our apartment complex. There were people from the States, Franch, Germany, Australia and England in our building. So we got to meet people from all over the world. I still keep in touch with a bunch of them.
I know what you mean about people staying on Post and complaining. They even do it in the States. They won't venture off the installation much, then bitch because they are bored and there's nothing to do.

My first job after I retired wanted me to move up there from Fort Polk when they decided to relocate the operation. Uh, no thanks. I'd rather be unemployed in Louisiana than working in NJ.

I LOVED Kings Bay! I was there for three years on the Canopus. Easiest duty I ever did.

A lot of Polk listed...would be interesting to find out if any of us were in the same unit at the same time.
