I don't know. I still don't understand it.

About 7-8 years ago, I went to visit my family, who has a house on Toledo Bend. They built their house on the side of a hill, and at the top of the hill, they had recently purchased an old A-frame (for visitors to stay). When we first arrived, my aunt, uncle, cousin and her husband, met us at our car, and offered to help carry our luggage down to the house. Not to sound gross, but I had to use the restroom, so I asked if I could use the bathroom in the A-frame. My uncle said “sure, but fyi the front door is kind of hard to open, so you’ll have to push pretty hard, to get in”. I walk inside, shut the door behind me, and head to the bathroom. While I’m in the bathroom, I hear the front door open, and then close again. I didn’t think anything of it, so when I went down to the house, I asked “did someone come in the A-frame, while I was in the bathroom?”. Everyone just looked at each other, and said “no”. I thought they were messing with me, so I just left it at that. Later in the evening, we started talking about it, so we (everyone but my aunt and uncle) decided to sleep in the A-frame that night. We got there about 8 or 9, and just hung out in the living room, but nothing happened. The master bedroom was up stairs. It had 4 day beds, so we all decided to sleep up there. My cousin and her husband, had a dog, so he slept upstairs with us that night. Around midnight or so, he woke us all up, because he was barking, growling and looking down the stairs. He was very freaked out, and kept looking down stairs, barking, and growling, while the hairs on his neck were raised. I tried to get him to go down the stairs with me, but he wasn’t having it. We didn’t hear anything while it was happening, but found it very odd, he was acting like that. My cousin’s husband and I went downstairs, and checked everything out, but nothing happened, so we all went back to bed. The rest of the night, the dog was restless, and kept pacing around the room. The next morning, when we left, he quick to get to the door, and rand out of the house, like he was shot out of a cannon. A few years later, my uncle was talking to someone who lived in the same area, and was told while the lake was being built, there was an accident, and several people were killed. This all happed about 90-100 yrds from their property. For some reason, I want to say that my uncle found information about the accident, and showed us, but I’m not certain. I’m a skeptic, so I can’t say what happened was a “ghostly event”, but it was pretty creepy, to say the least.

This is so true. I know some folks would criticize such a statement, maybe even looking at it as braggadocios, as one promoting his/her understanding, but it's proven over and over.
I'm currently in the midst of studying and writing about demonic spirits. They're not fallen angels, rebellious angels, but are dark spiritual entities of their own kind.
The realm which exists beyond our realm is very very active and has much control over our lives, good or bad, depending on what spirit(s) one entertains.

No, no it is not.
Some of you have a very loose definition of the words "proven" and "fact".
I'm not saying it's an absolute impossibility that supernatural entities exist but when you say that they are "proven" then I'm going to laugh at you and automatically disregard all future statements from you.

I won't believe until I experience it.

Go back and read the post, I wasn't saying that supernatural entities were proven, I was agreeing with BigEd that "The more you understand, the harder the enemy attacks".
Since you don't believe in supernatural entities the statement is meaningless to you.

If supernatural entities aren't proven ten how can it be proven that they attack harder when you understand more?

Beejon,
That was a line from the movie Paranormal Activity. So you're saying if I "believe" more they will come for me?

I suffer from sleep paralysis pretty frequently.
For all my life I've never seen anything (like a person or demon) when I wake up unable to move. Except for the last time.
I woke up. And from suffering from sleep paralysis for so long I'm used to waiting it out. But this time I saw something. The covers were blocking the upper part of my vision. But I see a dark pair of legs. I'm glad the covers were blocking my view because I get chills from thinking what that creature's face would have looked like.
I always handled sleep paralysis pretty well and I never freaked out from it. But that last time.. I slammed my eyes shut and really started breathing hard and freaking out.
I haven't had sleep paralysis in a long time. Probably the longest I've ever gone without it. And that happened the last time for the first time. I guess it's just a coincidence.

I used to have sleep paralysis about once a year. However in the past two months it's been happening almost weekly and everytime has been accompanied by "the intruder".
"The intruder" takes a different form everytime but it's always evil. It freaks me out so bad that I have intense anxiety about going to sleep for days afterwards and here recently everytime I get over the anxiety it happens again.
This is why I haven't slept for more than about 45 minutes tonight.

I concur with rickyh. The exact opposite of the first quote is much closer to the truth.

I have a 5 and 4 year old. At the time when my sister passed away they were 3 and 2. I would hear them talking to someone real early in the the mornings. When we asked them who they were talking to, the said were talking to their aunt and my father. They never met their grandfather bc he had passed before they were born. We were going through old family pictures when my youngest said" daddy that's my friend I play with" this happens here and there still to this day. It creeped my wife out but we've gotten use to them seeing family members that have passed on.
