Definitely trust a bunch of internet strangers instead of your son's pediatrician. They guy has what, like 3 years of schooling?

Also my son had it. It went away. I agree with your doctor.

It's not a matter of trusting the OT over my pediatrician. It's about coming to grips with it being common. I asked other parents I know (I'm a young parent of a 5 year old, most of my friends don't have kids) and none of them knew what it was.

Both of my boys had it. It's treatable. The doctor can/will prescribe a skin cream that will make them go away.

But be advised, they may come back and need to be treated a 2nd time.

But they will go away if properly treated.

I had it around my junk. I thought it was herpes and freaked. My gf at the time ended up vanishing pretty quick. I went to the mens clinic at the lake and had surgery to remove them. The doctor said it was best before it spread. Thats been several years ago and none showed back up. So not that big of a deal. Although it hampered my love life for a few months..
