OT Parents: does your kiddo’s teacher use Schoology?

We started using it this year to track assigned work, see when things are due, etc.
Seems the kids are not responsible for knowing due dates or being accountable for much with regards to deadlines and details of what’s expected of them.
Is this a new app for anyone else?

Our daughter’s in 5th grade. The teachers use Remind to send test dates/other notices, and they use a paper agenda to write down homework in each subject.
The agenda is supposed to help with accountability, but I think kids suck at accountability, in general. How old is your child? Do the kids get access to this app (on a chrome book or whatever)? Or do the parents have to look and tell them everything?

Never heard of it but we use Google Classroom and Remind. I’m supposed to upload all notes and assignment sheets to the classroom site and update the calendar daily.
I hate it as a teacher. The kids have zero incentive to be responsible for their own homework, due dates, and announcements. Only nice thing about it is that I don’t have to worry about make-up work at all. They miss a day? They can go find what they need on classroom.

This is where I am, but as a parent of 2 boys...9 and 12.
