One of my favorite toys from when I was growing up was a little WWII pacific island playset where you could launch an airplane (mine had a Corsair) with a rubber band. Man would that thing fly! For the life of me, I can't remember what that thing was called. I would love to find one somewhere.
I remember having something similar where you'd launch a airplane via rubber bands. Seems like the launcher was handheld though. I have no idea what it was called.
Flying Aces?

I think I may have found a partial link - this one is for an aircraft carrier, but same launch system. Mine was a fold-up case WWII Pacific Island though:

I just got off the phone with my wife and told her to start scouring ebay for the Nolan Ryan Strike Zone game. I need that game back in my life so I can itroduce my son to it.

Shiny metal slides, things would scald your skin on the way down.
Bike Brand Coaches Shorts. (Like the 610 stompers where) wish I could get my hands on a pair
Merry Go Rounds
youngest kid would get in the middle and all of the older kids would spin it as fast as they could till the kid started crying or flew off or both. It was a right of passage.
