These three fit into our summer vacation. Laying across the back dashboard, siblings in seats in the front, old man opening a Falstaff with a can opener while driving to Fort Walton, Winston dangling from his lips and saying " roll up the god damn windows, you're letting the smoke out."

One vacation we were in the back of the station wagon,Dad threatened to whip us if we didn't behave.
I knew his paddle was at the house and said in a smartass manner"what you gonna whoop us with you don't have your paddle"

Motherfricker pulled off the side of the interstate and proceeds to tear off a piece of the fake wood on the side of the station wagon to whoop us with.

I had two older sisters and we owned a 2 door Chevy Nova....my "seat" was the back "deck" under the rear window...we would be cruising down the interstate with the 4-70 AC on (for those of you too young to know cars weren't always airconditioned...in the summer you had to roll the windows down manually....4 windows, 70 MPH = 4-70 Air Conditioning). There would be nothing between me and the asphalt but the will to survive!!! Seat belts were unheard of...

we also had a station wagon that had rear facing seats and a huge rear window that would roll down...that car had 5-70 airconditioning...the trouble was that the exhaust fumes would be sucked into the back window....this was of no concern to my Dad who would simply warn us not fall asleep because we mat or may not ever wake up again....

My dad got laid off one summer and instead of looking for a job he took his last 2 paychecks and we went to Panama City (not Panama City Beach...same general location but in the 70's the two were like opposite ends of the globe). We lived for 6 weeks in a "motel" that was on the bay...very sleazy place. I swear we didn't eat anything but peanut butter and banana sandwiches...for 6 weeks...and grape kool-aid....it was one of the best summers of my life....we spent every day...all day....swimming in the bay....but good lord the smell from 5 people eating nothing but peanut butter and bananas....the smell along would be grounds for the state to take kids out of a home today...

Bushy snatch

I love the '70s porn snatch...you young guys insisting on pussy looking like it is pre-pubescent is disturbing...and I am told that some of you youngsters shave also....frick that....I have had surgery and that shite itches for months....if I have to go around with an itching crotch just to get laid I ain't interested....back in the day you couldn't get laid with a itchy crotch...it was probably itching because you had gotten laid and caught something....

My brother and I had a go kart similar to that we got for Christmas. By the day after, we made modifications to the throttle, pedals, governor in an effort to make it go faster. By the New Year's day had wrecked it multiple times. My dad warned that we were going to have to wear helmets if we continued to wreck. We then just stopped informing of the wrecks. God forbid you wear a helmet and not look cool

Been there. No helmets, though. Ended flipping it in a ditch at some point. We had some crazy times with that go kart.

What's funny is that people are going to talk about all of our shite one day and laugh. "Remember when they had to carry phones around to call each other???? HAHAHAHA" Then they touch an implant behind their ear and speak via brain waves or some shite.

They made that comic for years so there's a ton of them out there. Good luck hunting down one specific edition though.

Darth, I found it. It wasn't one of those we thought - it was from a comic called Ghosts - and this one was from 1971. I found it after we moved into a new house back in the '70s. Found the issue on ebay and ordered it with shipping and all for less than $10.

pops had old satellite dish like this that moved when you switched satellites.
I remember satellites named "Galaxy" "Satcom" and a few others.
Friends would come over because i had figured out the password to his porn descrambler
We'd always have someone watching for them to come up the street so we could switch satellites and friends would sneak out the window.
Well, one day we weren't so quick and the dish was still moving when he pulled into the drive.

Dayum. That took some digging. It's kinda sad to me that comics are not as popular as they were when I was a kid. I remember going to Win-Dixie every week with my grandmother and seeing a rack like this...

... and if I was good she'd let me get a comic book. Most kids nowadays have probably never even read a comic book.

My Dad had a side business of putting those dishes in. He started when they were the solid, fiberglass monsters. Did it for many years and sold Dish Network dishes, too, before he got out. My brother and I dug many a ditch and poured many bags of concrete.

Awe man, I wanted one of those so badly when I was a teen. but it was not until I came home from the army that I finally got satellite myself. It was not the big one from the 80's though. Instead it was Primestar and had a dish like this...

I actually stayed with them until Directv bought them out (late 90's or early 2000's?) and they swapped me over.

I googled every term I could think of (like ghost pilot comics, etc). Saw that page and it created a spark. So I had to order it. I remember begging Mom to get me comics. I have gotten a few for my son and he really likes them - although they are the older star wars/boba fett ones.

Those were so much fun. Had one of these bad boys. It was fun as hell but I remember being scared to start it so I got Dad to do it.
