Getting ready for car show 42 Ford jeep won't start. Coil is hot to the touch and the old coil had a huge crack which would seem to be heat related. The car cranks but won't fire and fuel is not an issue. . Fuel is not an issue. Distributor? We put in new points etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Carburetor, spray some gas in it while you crank it.

Did you set the choke and pull 8 times?

You need to get a hot bucket of steam and poor it on top of the engine. That'll warm it up after sitting cold for a long time and should get it to start right up.

We used the spray and it would not start. It is a 44 not 42.

Is that the same as the magneto alignment drive arrow?

There is a crank car where a guy calls a dealer for warranty work on a 70s car w 22k miles. "Warranty says 36k or three years and it doesn't have 36k."

OP, looks like you won't get much help from the jokers on here.

Go to SteelSoldiers.com and join up. You'll get plenty of help.
