He ran down the track into Tony Stewarts car.
The fact he is a NASCAR driver in a sprint car has no bearing.
Stewart races in these types of races all the time. Usually at his cost. The other drivers and fans that attend those races love it.
If Borris Said had been driving instead of Tony Stewart, nobody would even be discussing this.

and a few years ago a world class driver hit a track dryer under caution. do you think he did that on purpose?

Stewart shouldve been lower like the other passing cars. It's called a caution lap not a throw dirt on a wrecked car and driver lap.
like the other car the kid had to side step not to get hit?

I would have started 2 threads hoping to find someone to hold him accountable cause gosh darn-it someone alive has to take the blame.

On purpose or not, he still did it.. He made a mistake.
Are you saying Stewart made a mistake?

Smith just gained 4 spots in the 14 car. He's up to 32nd.
Stewart caught a break with this week being a road course.

I think everyone is saying it was an unfortunate accident. There were things he probably could've done to avoid hitting the idiot. Doesn't mean his actions were criminal. They don't have a live pedestrian obstacle course for training purposes as far as I know. No one prepares to deal with this.
There is no way to determine all of the circumstances that contributed to this. This is why you don't walk onto a track with vehicles moving at a high rate of speed. Just because nothing happened to the last 50 guys that did it doesn't mean nothing bad can happen the 51st time.

I never once said his actions were criminal.

He has anger issues:
During the 2010-11 offseason, Stewart said he was "very embarrassed and ashamed" after being questioned by Australian police (he wasn't charged) for hitting a track promoter with a helmet over a dispute over track safety while on a five-week racing tour of the country.
In 2002, Stewart nearly lost his ride at Joe Gibbs Racing for shoving a photographer at Indianapolis Motor Speedway after a 12th-place finish in the Brickyard 400. He sought anger management counseling and was placed on probation for the incident, as he also was for striking Brian Vickers after a 2004 Cup race at Sonoma Raceway.
There have been many other instances in which Stewart's legendary temper has flared without drawing punishment. Two years ago at Bristol Motor Speedway, he wasn't disciplined for hurling his helmet at Matt Kenseth's car after a crash while racing for the lead.

To me the car in front of TS having to swerve to avoid hitting the kid helps TS in this situation. Looks like just an awful accident.
