I don't agree with that. Maybe for some criminals, it's about weakness, but many criminals believe that women and children are off limits and that crimes against those people are reprehensible.
Kind of twisted logic given what some of these guys do to go to prison, but it's a real thing.

Exactly. Most of the people in prison have kids and actually love their kids. They can all relate in that sense and don't want anything to happen to them just like you and me. Despite being criminals they actually have a heart. When they are living with a person who has harmed children physically or sexually they can relate to that hatred for that person except they are in an environment where they can act on that hatred without remorse or a care of repercussion. If you were doing life would you care if you got in trouble inside of prison? In prison a lot of inmates don't care about the consequences and they may only have 10 years left or 5 or 2, it doesn't matter. It's a badge of honor to be the one to take out a pedophile. They are praised for that by both CO's and inmates
