That light is the antitheft. It armed so it diabled everything inside.

If the windows are down I would just reach out and unlock with the keys

You can pull the fuse for the horn and then mess with it as not to make a scene with the panic going off.

Not sure what the cause is though.

My remote start fricks up from time to time. I pull the + off and let it sit for a couple of minutes, and it works fine afterwards. Try that

If you disconnect battery its better to take negative off first and when you reconnect it put negative back on first. Due to current flow.

K update here. So exit the vehicle and no sound from the alarm. Thought that was odd. Used the keys to no avail. Had someone bring other sets and nothing worked. I then disconnected the battery and waited a few minutes. Upon reconnecting there was a very faint amount of light emitting from the lights. Removed and replaced battery and all worked fine.

So long story but essentially after sitting in my car waiting the battery must have happened to drain and when I hit the button to auto start it (was just playing around) it didn't have enough to crank and then triggered anti theft. Just a random arse stroke of events it sounds like. Had the alternator tested at the auto store and it was fine.

Who the F knows but it ran fine on the way home.

Removing the negative doesn't do shite to the remote start/alarm, so I don't even bother

Never said it would. Simply informing him if he did so the better way to do it.
