OT gym goers -- question RE: the sauna

Just switched gyms and the new one has a sauna. Never used before. Was told it will "clear the toxins out of my system". This sounds like some essential oils type bullsh*t.
What say the OT, is the sauna a waste of time?

Would probably comfortably fit 5 guys. No one goes in naked, I'm told (not that there's anything wrong with that). Anyhow

never had a complaint about the time I soent in one. You just swear your balls off but it's very cathartic.
Now a steam room with eucalyptus in it will clear your sinuses out like you were just born. But you'll be hacking and snotting for about five minutes.

After a long day of drinking, it does wonders to clean out your body and end a hangover. Anyone who actually uses one can attest to that.

Yeah everyone so far has specifically mentioned after a night of drinking. Does it have any actual effect, or does getting your body temp real high just make you feel better? Theres that "clean your body" rhetoric again. Why does it have the effect next day after drinking?

I don't know about actual "cleansing", but it's what it feels like.
If I go out drinking and then hit the sauna, my sweat stinks pretty badly. After 3 days in a row, my sweat barely smells at all.
