Beta blockers are what can cause you dick problems baw because they slow your blood flow. I've never had any problems with it though. I think it's mostly in older men. I'll take Viagra if i ever get there

Don't need to. I take it.

Beta blockers, as has been said, are what can cause erectile problems. So far, they don't bother me. And I've been on them for 20 years.

Fun fact... the PGA tour banned beta blockers as they are considered a PED.

I take metoprolol and amlodipine. I have a nice pair of kidney stones that need to come out (but I'm having hell getting the removal scheduled) and the pain (aching pain, not the "throw me in the ditch and cover me in dirt" kidney stone pain) has ratcheted up my BP. 160/97 today.

Started off on something that I can't remember but it had no effect at all. Tried something else, same result. Finally settled on Valsartan (generic for Diovan) that works very well with no side effects. Valsartan was unavailable for a while and they switched me to losarten and lisonpril but both made me dizzy. Valsarten supply came back to normal and I'm back on that with same results as before

YMMV

BTW, anyone who's taking HCTZ alone or with their BP meds, don't take it within a couple hours of consuming caffeine or the two diuretics will double team you.

Funny thing ,I've always exercised on average 4 days a week. My parents, grandparents all have/had high bp. I guess it was time for me. Until recently i wasn't 20lbs over weight. Currently getting this weight off. Lost 6lbs got about 20 to go.

I've had two kidney stone issues with bad pain. The first stone was moving from the kidney to the bladder (the pain was excruciating until it settled into the bladder). The same stone grew from 3.0 mm (where they thought it would pass) to 6.00 mm where they think it won't. It hit me again, but just for couple of hours.

Right now it is moderate back pain. When they move, the pain gets into your testicles and that is where it really f'in hurts.

Calcium is the cause of mine. I have a 12mm in my kidney that needs to go, but I haven't had any really bad pain issues from it.

I've been on beta blockers since I was 14. I'm 52 now. I didn't start having dick issues until I was in my 40's. Started taking Cialis and no problems.

Family history of high bp. I also have heart disease. I take ( among other things) Toprol XL 200 mg daily, and Cozaar 50 mg daily.

I'm on Lisinoprol now.

Last year I was on something and I couldn't get an erection no matter what plus it made me sick as crap. Constantly throwing up and nauseous. Haven't had any of those issues with Lisinoprol.

Well that sucks. I've been on beta blockers for about 13 years now. No issues yet but I'm 42 now.

Some would rather take a pill than put in the work and thats fine. But I will bet you whatever you want to bet if you cleaned up your diet (you didnt mention that) and upped your cardio your BP would be fine. Shoot for 185.
6'1 235 when I started 3 years ago.... 6'1 222 now BP improving as weight comes off - goal is to get to 190. I way less during football season but for 12-15 weeks i put a lot of miles in.... would like to be able to ditch the norvasc and lipitor at some point if possible.... staying completely away from processed foods is a dramatic help as well.
