You said you were 45 in an earlier post. In short, if this is the worst you've ever felt in your life (or have been hospitalized before for something that hadn't felt as bad as this), then go directly to the ER. Otherwise, figure out what time your PCP opens up shop and call first thing in the morning for her/his advice.

Hope you feel better.

I had something go wrong with me a few years back where my fever got up to 104. I just rotated motrin and Tylenol every hour and sat in the cold tub with an ice pack on my head until the fever went away like 12hrs later.

No idea what that was though. I had to take a bunch of benadryl at the same time because I was itching and red all over

Virus. My fiance just got over the same thing two days ago. Lasted about three days.

Unfortunately all you can do is wait it out. Meds can help wirh the nausea and diarrhea though.

Had that a couple of weeks ago. I diagnosed myself as having sinusitis. Passed on its own after a couple of days.

I've been dealing with the same symptoms for the past 4 days. Went to the ER and they did all major test and checked out fine. Doctor say it's got to be a virus and that just rest and rotate Motrin with Tylenol every 4 hours.

The stiff neck went away about to days ago, and Ive been really the best in the morning but as the day progresses I feel worse. Pounding headache is my worst symptom righnow. The body aches have decreased.

Temperature has been 101-104 past four days...and I haven't thrown up..if it were meningitis you'd be vomiting a lot.

Sounds like flu. Be sure you are drinking caffeine FREE and nonalcoholic liquids if you are taking Tylenol/acetaminophen to prevent condition that could be life threatening. If your urine stays medium to dark yekllow throughout the day you must drink more liquids. Hope you are better soon.

Spent four days in the hospital with it and it is terrible. I would got to the ER. Back pain, head ache and fever were my symptons about four hours before I was nearly paralyzed by pain.

Same here... and stiff neck. Lost consciousness in the ER and spent 2 weeks in hospital. By the time I realized this ain't the flu... it was almost too late.

Just left the doctor, it's the flu, which is a good thing. If it wasn't the flu, she was going to admit me to the hospital for cat-scan and spinal tap!!!
