I can book now and get a package for two for one of the hotels I'm Looking at for $1800. Hotel alone would be $1450 for 5 nights so that makes it like $350 for two plane tickets. I'm guessing it's worth the chance??? I mean they can't leave me with no where to stay can they?? Lol.

What specific dates are you going again? I'm gonna see if I can find a hotel for your dates that's better than the combined package

ETA: I've saved a ton of money on hotels using priceline's express deals where you choose a 3, 4, or 5 star hotel group but don't know the hotel until after you book. Plus if you're in NYC, the last place you're going to want to be is in the hotel. There's so many other things to do

We're playing with July 13-18. Taking 15 yo dtr and she (despite advice here) wants to stay in Times Square. I can get Hilton S for $1400 with AAA discount. I can get pkg Millennium/air for $1800 total with flight times good for us. (Early to go; later to return). Thanks.

Cuse,

BTW....I love these threads. Keep up the good work. I recall you'd take a bunch of crap from OT'ers early on....lol, but as i'm sure you can tell, alot of us appreciate the work.

^^^^. Yes we do! We don't often travel by air as life doesn't allow it at this time but I love to dream and see where others are going!!

So in a quick look at priceline, a 3 1/2 star hotel (don't know which one) in the times square area is $874, plus the airfare which would be around $900 for two so it's around the $1800.

I think we need to hold off a little bit for airfare to go down, which will lower that overall cost a few hundred. Tickets usually go down for tuesdays/wednesdays if they have a sale and since that's when you're planning on leaving, the sale will work in your favor.

There's nothing close to reasonable yet, still too far out to book. Right now it's $372 and that's the absolute cheapest
