Anybody currently have children in any of the schools and want to share the pros/cons of your particular school?

Glassman's boy went to Lusher, and he is Nola royalty. Ask him, he will be happy to tell you all about it.

Inspire Nola Charter Schools are doing really well-
Edna Karr is an A high school;
Alice Harte, K-8, is great but little chance of getting in. School holds ~750 students, but had over 1200 applicants for the 50 or spots that opened up.
Both of those schools are in Algiers but the are now taking over charters on the East Bank. Their CEO told me that they are adding 2 new schools on the East Bank in addition to the one school they now operate.

We should all have the choice they have in Orleans Parish.
Why teachers oppose this is beyond me. Charter school teachers make more money.

Probably asking about a real charter. Not a publicly funded school being held hostage by an elitist white college.

I went to Lusher. Great school. All the financial crazy shite wasn't as bad when I was there though but other than that it's a great school to prepare you for college. Also really good in terms of getting your kids around every type of kid race and socio economic wise. Not much racism or prejudice at all we all got along beautiful from all backgrounds. Wasn't a bunch of clones walking around.
