I've done EXTENSIVE research over the years. In Texas you can't call yourself a bar without those signs. Maybe even for just a beer/wine license? Correct me if I am wrong.

I recall back when (ibelieve it was CHLs) started being common or legalized. It was a big sticking point with bars. NO CHL carriers allowed in bars, which then spilled over to HPD off duty guys. Who at that time (don't know current rule) were expected to carry off duty weapons. The bars said "whoa" you can't come. The cops said "frick off, how do we pick up the waitresses and badge bunnies we have worked while working security?"
