They are already rich as croesus. If you tax future income, the money they have already put into land, houses, diamonds, art, is all still land, houses, diamonds and art.
They have it in treasuries at 2.5, they have it in the bank.

Oh look at you, look at you.
Start a thread on the topic wise guy.

Reagan killed the halfway house budget.
SF homeless has a big component of viet vets into drugs. And a big component who got priced out of rentals.
There are two flocks of birds in Golden gate Park.
Parakeets and the macaw/parrot clan.
They escaped from life in cages in houses.
They survive because it's never cold. Same with the homeless.
Any real solution would require interference in the lives of the homeless. Are you going to force them to get out of town by sundown? Or else what? Prison. 3 hots and a cot?

Do share your compassionate but effective long term solution.

They must not be paying their fair share because San Francisco has become a mess.

It's not all about temperature, of course. There are plenty of cities with mild climates that don't have a homeless epidemic. And then there is frigid Denver that has a huge homeless population.

Most Americans are quite compassionate with those on the streets. Witness the countless number of churches which send people to shelters across this great country. Homelessness only becomes an epidemic when they congregate in large numbers.

I have a former colleague that is homeless. Brilliant guy but mentally ill. He chooses to be homeless. He's even told friends of ours that the State meets all of his needs. He's now in California where he can live on the street, smoke weed around the clock, and where he can tell a business or home owner to F off when crashing on their door step.

Your example chooses it.
So apparently do many or most.

The main issues are sanitation and the panhandlers. Those are not the issues of the homeless.

I am in San Fran at least twice a year & it is a very underrated city for having tons of hot women. It will never be a Miami, L.A., NYC, Dallas, or Scottsdale type hot but they have a lot. Let’s face it-Hot women follow the money.
