The Advocate is siding with Rando.
No longer. She updated her story and removed that stupid arse statement. We all know the local media reads this board but I always find it humorous when they make it so obvious.

According to a police report released by BRPD, the shooting may have been in self-defense

Arrest records said Jackson stood over Tatney and shot him multiple times....
This reporter might want to circle back on that statement

Old money has left and their kids have zero interest in BR outside of home games in the fall.
Get out, baw.
I'm not saying my family had "frick you" money or anything, but my parents and their parents and their parents were all successful and lived in BR (and a little Nola). Of the 20 or so "young people" in my immediate family that I'm close with, including my siblings and 1st cousins, not a single one lives in Louisiana anymore. We're all educated and relatively successful, a couple are very successful financially (doctors, not me). All raised there.
Now we're all in Dallas, Houston, Austin, Tampa, Chattanooga, and one in Mississippi on a rural plot of land in the middle of no where.
That's an entire generation of a family that's been in South Louisiana for 200+ years and been contributing members of society that are gone and never coming back. We've all had our kids elsewhere. It's over.
Terribly sad, but we have to do what is best for our respective families.
ETA:
And yes you're right, a lot of us come back for the big football games and holidays, but those are getting fewer and farther between. Baton Rouge is an absolute shite hole.
