So why weren't they convicted of treason?

No.

Just because we didn't turn our concentration camps into death camps doesn't mean we didn't put Japanese Americans into concentration camps.

Seriously, wtf are you arguing?

Everyone pretty much said they aren't arguing the definition of the word. They are arguing the similarities/differences between German camps and American camps for Japanese.

And yes, there are extreme differences.

From what I gathered cruising this thread, nobody is arguing that.

Read my post above.

The OP is arguing that Japanese internment camps are similar to Nazi concentration camps? You mean the pictures argue it?

I see stark differences.

Some would call that the first reply...

This? I agree with this reply.

But it doesn't make any sense because the Japanese Americans were in concentration camps.

If the post said there was a stark difference in our concentration camps and the Nazi's concentration camps, that'd be better wording. I'd still call it out as a way to rationalize a really poor and shameful decision in American history, but it would still be a more accurate statement.

First reply to what? The very first post is referred to the OP. The is basic internet stuff.

The post implies that Japanese Americans were not put into concentration camps.

It's wrong.

I, and everyone else, knows what he was trying to say, he just said is poorly.

The length of this thread begs to differ.

the length of this thread is only due to you and slack refusing to give an inch on this

and because people keep crying about the OP calling concentration camps...concentration camps

Well, you say everyone gets what that post was saying, but slack clearly didn't.
