just so we're clear, with a felony charge, most judges won't accept a plea at arraignment unless a lot of serious pre-arraignment discussions have gone on between the prosecutor and defense attorney. a discovery motion can't even be made until after arraignment, so a Defendant can't even see the state's evidence to judge prior to arraignment (formally)
