Sounds like the old Soviet Union victims self reporting their thought crimes. Needs to place himself in a gulag for 40 years of hard labor.

It seemed like a good idea at the time but they are a shitty fit. The St. Louis and Chicago market were what the SEC seemed to be seeking.

Bad idea. Bad fit. Bad teams. Liberal and scapegoat university. Wish SEC would kick them out and we bring in Clemson.

Clemson was never coming. USCe, Georgia, and Florida banded together to prevent any other schools from their state being offered.

After reading the OP, I went and did a little research on Colonel Reb. Possible inspiration for Colonel Reb was James “Blind Jim” Ivy who was an Ole Miss SUPER FAN starting in 1896 as a peanut salesman during the games. I never once heard this story until today and found it pretty interesting. Apologies if old news LINK
