So this festival is planned at the UNO Lakefront this Labor Day Weekend.....
For those of you that dont know, that's the same weekend as Southern Decadence Fest in the French Quarter.
Am I the only one that thinks this is a bad idea?

How can old school hip hop be a bad idea

I'm not really seeing the conflict. Am I missing the obvious joke?

Why would it be a bad idea?

From what I understand the gutter punks have taken over Frenchman St ,the gays will take over The Quarter that weekend. After the Hip Hop fest is over Saturday night, the hip hoppers are going to want to go somewhere to party...I just see this ending very badly.

The UNO arena is near the lake and about 8 miles from the city.

By posting here instead of the MB are you acknowledging that it is in fact not music?

At least you aren't afraid to stereotype.

That's essentially the lineup to the '88 Def Jam tour. It will be 90% nerdy white guys and people over 40. I think the city will survive.

there is nothing wrong with thinking that different cultures and types of groups wont get along if all congregated in once place.

He knows anything and everything about New Orleans. Just ask him.

I would go to this, but people might annoy me.
