ok. I was thinking the Robert E. Lee was a drive in
Rebel Drive-In was between BRCC and Superior Grill/Popeyes. Community College drive was named Rebel Dr.

Also the site of the original Happy Note. Strongest drinks in town. You order a Crown & Seven and get a pint glass that was 7/8 Crown and 1/8 Seven.

was this the entrance to the Broadmoor? Looks very familiar unless they had another theater in BR that looked like Broadmoor.

When it first opened it was the Jerry Lewis Twin Cinema. It then changed to University. Ronnie Bullion owned it when Jaws first played. He furnished his camp at Leeville with posters and Jaws memorabilia from that run. He says he made a ton off that movie.

That's the Lincoln theater downtown. Business dropped sharply after the race riots, then closed mid-80's

what was the name of the movie theater that used to be by Murphys?
Wow, I remember seeing "Honey I shrunk the Kids" there as a child. That place must have closed down 20+ years ago. I'm getting old

Snuck in there once with my older brother. Thanks for that memory.
A great video. I recognized about half of the places. Youtube: Baton Rouge - My City in Ruins
I liked the old bumper stickers - C'MON BATON ROUGE - PICK UP THE STICK
