Old Baw in Port Barre threatened to shoot up PBHS, school on lockdown

The lockdown at Port Barre High School has been lifted and a suspect is now in custody. The suspect, 53 year old Robert Gaudet, was charged with terrorizing and making threats against a faculty member during school hours.
Gaudet was identified as an employee of the Port Barre Public Works Department. He was picked up at his place of employment. According to police, an off-duty police officer overheard Gaudet talking at a local gas station about "shooting up" Port Barre High School. The lockdown was called in to the school immediately after.

It's Port Barre, I don't think there is anything he could have done to make that place worse.

Was the Police Chief involved? Seems like Pirt Barre always has an officer involved in some complex criminal operation every year.
