The shooting was first reported after 7:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Edgewood Drive near N. 27th Street.

Details surrounding the incident were not immediately made available, though a Baton Rouge Police spokesperson confirmed they were investigating.

WBRZ News 2 has a crew en route to the scene.

One so far. The night is very young.

We are about to have more shootings and murders in retaliation of the other recent shootings and murders.

Someone must have kept them from getting to work on time. I understand the origin of this violence while I don’t agree with it.

Either that or college final exams got postponed.

It’s funny how I’ve lived in BR most of my life and haven’t heard of or seen like half these streets

Usually I assume that if I've never heard of the street it's in the hood. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's about 5 blocks from N22nd street which runs into Plank eventually.

Is this what happens when your mayor undermines and criticizes your police force throughout her campaign and term?

If we do not have rainy nights soon the BRPD evening shift and dog shift will be full of excitement.

She grocery shops at Walmart Neighborhood Market on Coursey near Sherwood. I've seen her in there a few times
