If y'all want to count it as such that is fine with me. I didn't add it because all shootings so far have had victims that were hit by gunfire.

You'll need to hire a staff if we are going to document every stray shooting in BR

Shooting outside Louisiana Culinary Institute.

quote:

One person has been injured in a shooting outside the Louisiana Culinary Institute on Airline Highway late Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said a man was transported to the hospital from that location with serious injuries.

The shooting was reported near the intersection of Airline Highway and Arnold Lane, which is between Coursey and Bluebonnet boulevards. Authorities later confirmed it was outside the Louisiana Culinary Institute.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday

StG coming hard in 2020. Depending where outside is, this could be the what, 3rd shooting of the year in StG?

This occurred within the St. George city limits by about 50 feet. That is not an exagerration.

I am waiting to update to see if he is a non-fatal or fatal victim.

I will take 3 over 40 any day. What you will not see is shootings in neighborhoods like The Preserve or Lexington or U Club and any of the other nicer, well-behaved subdivisions. There is some shade near us in Village of st. George due to Siegen turning into shite.

If you do have a murder in aforementioned, chances are it is a domestic murder/suicide. And they happen once every 3 to 5 years.

Guarantee you Sid and Murph have had some words on this.

I updated OP to include the man fatally shot within BR city limits a few days ago.

I am awaiting a status update of the LCI victim before updating the OP.

A lot more than that, baw. It's 3 total shootings for StG vs. 77 total shootings in BTR.

The shithole area at the corner of O'Neal and S Harrells Ferry will probably produce a few for STG annually. There are murders and shootings back there for sure.

It’s not in BR, but is it in SG. It’s hard to tell.

Had a BRPD lieutenant in my store at that time.

As the unofficial Mayor of St. George, I implore SWB and Chief Paul to keep their trash.

The guy died but according to WBRZ he was dropped off at the location.

quote:

BATON ROUGE - On Tuesday afternoon, a swarm of deputies assembled in a parking lot near the Louisiana Culinary Institute to address a shooting incident.

The shooting, which was reported around 2:45 p.m. on Arnold Lane, left 22-year-old Neville Allen injured and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office says Allen was dropped off at the scene. When deputies arrived they found him suffering from a gunshot wound.

Allen was rushed to an area hospital, and on Wednesday morning he succumbed to his injuries.

The Sheriff's Office is investigating the fatal shooting and has yet to reveal a suspect or motives.

"Hey man, can you drop me off at cooking school? I'm suffering from a pretty wicked gunshot wound but I don't want to miss class..."

Also, just for the record - I don't think should count as a St George murder. He probably wasn't shot in St George. I would appeal to it not counting on either the BR or SG since it's a technicality.

Don't hang this on my new city. It clearly wasn't our fault and I don't think it should be able to sully our fairly pristine image. You savages need to stay on your side of the fricking lines with this bullshite.

Driver either shot him or panicked when someone else did. He probably has outstanding warrants himself so he just found somewhere to dump him.

I won't count it for St. G until more information is released. Considering LCI is essentially on the St. G line, there is a very good chance he was dropped off there after being shot nearby, which would likely be within the city of BR.

Video surveillance shows Adams drive his white Lexus into the culinary institute parking lot and then appear to survey the area "looking for a particular individual," detectives wrote in the arrest report. Allen was visible nearby talking on his cell phone.

Adams then walked to his car and pulled out a shotgun, which he pointed aggressively in Allen's direction, detectives wrote. "The victim was observed raising his hands … in a defensive posture and backing away."

But moments later, Adams fired one round, striking the victim in his neck and chest. Detectives noted Adams pulled the trigger despite being unprovoked, then got back in his car and fled the scene.

I wonder why it is so different. I can't think of any reason...
