Instead of being content with the expulsion, said person decided to call the police and file felony assault charges on a 10-year-old child. That is ridiculous.

To play devils advocate here...what if the para was an elderly lady who suffered an issue as a result of the kick. What if she had some medical bills pile up. Honestly, I don't see how we can judge her without knowing the full details (which we never know). One thing is for sure, this kid MUST be a MAJOR problem or there is no way I could see home getting expelled. My experience in similar situations usually means that the kid has almost no consequences which tells me that either the school / school system is a shite show, or, more likely than not, this kid is a MAJOR a-hole with a massive bitch as his mom.

Well it seems obvious he does have autism.

The school apparently didn't give a crap about changing his iep to better him. The school failed this kid but it's still no excuse for him to act like a shitbag. That's his moms fault.
Not really anyone's fault, it's a bad situation all around.

Since you haven't seen his IEP then you can't possibly know that. Maybe the kid is just a huge POS that they did everything they could to assist but his behavior was just completely out of control.

That would be like someone in a wheelchair going around running over kids and their parent saying "too bad, he's a cripple".

Sadly it's a fairly accurate analogy.

The para is a male. ANd likely not an elderly male

I got in trouble once because a girl threw her book bag in the middle of my front and back wheels, thinking she was going to stop me when I was going down the aisle to turn in my test.

Instead of stopping I just kept going and ran over her book bag. She had her retainers in the front part of her book bag and when I ran over her bag it broke them. I got in school suspension for that shite because she told the teacher I just decided to run over her bag and denied throwing it.

Later that day that bitch passed me in the hall and told me something like "I bet you will not tell me what you told me in class earlier, again".. Bragging that she got me in trouble so I yelled it to her, the assistant principal heard me, brought me to her office and gave me a "warning" and that I should be ashamed to say what I said to a girl.
