Officer-involved shooting in Bernice, LA on Tuesday.

UNION PARISH, La. (KNOE) - Update: State police say 53-year-old Randall S. Ross of Farmerville was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Bernice, LA on Tuesday.

Louisiana State Police is investigating the death of a suspect in an officer-involved shooting in Bernice.
According to Senior Trooper Michael Reichardt, it happened Tuesday night around 5:00 PM on Walnut Tree Road. Union Parish deputies were called out to a home about a disturbance. Reichardt says deputies reported making contact with the suspect when they arrived. He says the suspect was shot and died on the scene.
Reichardt says state police was contacted around 10:00 PM to investigate the incident. No other details were released regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No one else was injured. The investigation is ongoing.

5 hours before the State Police where called in? I'm sure nothing shady happened in those 5 hours.
