Haven't found a mechanic since moving back to BR. Any suggestions? I remember somebody recommending a shop by Coursey but I couldn't find the thread.

Was probably referring to AGCO at Coursey/Sherwood Commons. They are a good all around shop that does quality work.

Honestly it really comes down to what vehicle you have. All mechanics have their own vehicles they specialize in.

Car Masters on S. Choctaw is a great shop. Jeff Dedon is the owner, very honest and does great work.

Car masters is great. Extremely fair and looking out for the custom. Saved me a bunch of money.

I've had good experiences with Gordon and Sandifer on Perkins. But I usually go to Tri Care. I think they also have a second location near Industriplex

Highland Car Care (Tien) and/or K&M Automotive (Jason).

Both as honest as they come. And both do excellent work at a very fair price.

This is as good of thread as any ...

Does anyone know of a mechanic that works on classic vehicles at their home as a side business?

Mine is over 40 years old and I am looking for someone that can do it in their spare time, no rush on my end - this is not my daily driver - for a fair price.

A friend went to Toyota needing a new starter for his Tundra. Toyota told him 1200. I told him to check out Highland Car Care. Highland Car Care did it gor him for 700ish.

Mainly routine maintenance, but some parts will either need to be repaired, rebuilt or replaced. I am looking to establish a one-on-one relationship with mechanic as opposed to dealing with a business so to speak.

Tinh is a good guy. He'll tell you if he can fix it. And he'll tell you if it isn't worth it.

frick tricare, they are crooks. We are a block from the location in industriplex and used to get our business. No longer. They just charged us >$750 for a 2 axle brake job and to recharge the AC on a work truck. That is after I brought my personal truck to get the oil changed and tires rotated to a tune of $140.00
Highway robbery.

I just moved our company account to Tabony Transmission in Denham
