Newark isn't that bad. I wouldn't want to be on a long layover there but flying in to it is fine. The train can suck at times though...last time I flew in it was under 10 degrees and the train took like 20 minutes to show up.

The train has been late every time I've been through. Flying in usually means you fly out of there, which is the real hassle. Their security lines are ridiculous and bags gets lost there all the time.

I flew out twice, the day before thanksgiving and the Saturday before Christmas, and didn't wait in security more than 5 minutes either time. I guess it's luck of the draw and I have a small sample size but I've been pleased with everything other than the distance to Manhattan compared to LGA.

Still never been to JFK
