That's not true. I've worked in nursing homes/assisted living, there should be a clear evacuation plan. These are very delicate people, and need special care.
This storm was coming, we all knew catastrophic flooding was on its way. I don't see any reason they should not have been evacuated to a sister facility or families homes. I've been a part of emergency evacuation planning in Galveston twice.

Well, I don't live there anymore, nor do I work for that company. If I did live there I would likely have been busy helping evacuate where I worked.

I'll bet you next time they are more prepared. Everyone seems to have gotten out safely, so no serious harm done. This stuff happens sometimes, but it looks bad on the Home for not having a plan.
