No. I think it's based on the Pacific NW volcanoes. There's a few images of them in this thread.

It will be a very long hike to get to the volcano where you can just throw them in is what I'm saying.

They would most likely burn up until no remains exist.

What would be easier, however, is to use other phenomena associated with volcanoes to hide the body...

such as lahars and lava flows
