I will ask my old man. I tried to take a few geology classes in college but I hated them. Lots of hippies that liked to go on "field trips". Now that I look back on it I was probably pretty stupid not to change my major...

Is it mega watt lightning, or just run of the mill lightning.
2nd question: In winter down in S Louisiana, on the rare occasions it snows, there is thunder and lightning. Of course, too cloudy to see the lightening, but you can hear the thunder. What's up with that shite?

Actually, I don't know. A budding volcanologist once told me that your skin is so cool compared to the lava, that it will immediately cool on contact with your SKIN. It'd burn your hair and your clothes.
I think they may have been joshing me, but you've seen people wet their finger then stick it in molten lead. Same thing, right?

I don't know if there's a difference. I'm not a meteorologist (at least in that regard) or a physicist (at least in that regard)

What's the closest (known) volcano to Louisiana, and is it close enough that we ever really have to worry about it. Hurricanes suck enough to also have volvanoes to deal with.

dave chapelle had casual sex with an erupting volcano in one of his skits. it appeared consensual, but as you probably know, volcanoes are inanimate objects incapable of speech or free will. at a minimum, do you agree that 1.) there needs to be more awareness about this issue, and 2.) sex with a volcano is probably not possible due to the extreme temperatures of the flowing magma?

Pretty sure with all the heat and power down there at the core and the shear size, a nuke blast would be equivalent to a queef.
