I berate myself for wondering this too. Like all the time.

My husband and I were out for a special occasion dinner in Houston, the kind with all the buzz and the beautiful interiors, cocktails that are works of art..... Maybe $250 per person in a relatively swanky part of Houston... Lots of tables with really cheap looking black women in tight dresses and 6" acrylic high heels, weaves, etc.. My first thought was, where the frick are they getting this money? These did not appear to be doctors or investment bankers. I mean, I consider myself pretty well-to-do and this was a once a year kind of restaurant.

It's no mystery. It is credit card debt. There are way to many people willing to upside-down on consumer goods and cars, then complain that the racist system prevents them from obtaining financial stability.
