He probably studied up on the "racist" meanings after the fact, as he cites Wikipedia as a source.
He just jumped on the bandwagon of white people telling you what is or isn't racist. There have been two polls with similar results that show around 90% of Native Americans aren't offended by the Washington Redskin's name. Who is offended by it? Liberal white people.
I did some research on the word squaw last night and it is very divided on whether or not it was ever a derogatory term at all. Most times the word was associated with a racist, stereotypical picture of an Native American or was derogatory because it was a word for a female, which when it was being utilized it was commonly thought that men were greater than women

Scott won. KF apologized.

n a written statement emailed Thursday (June 14) to NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, school president Kyle France said the school is reviewing its camp group names "that have been a rich tradition at Kehoe-France Camp" since its inception in 1949. France wrote that "appropriate changes," including ways "to honor and respect the Native American culture and the rich tradition of Kehoe-France," will be made if the school administration deems it necessary. "We would like to apologize for any offense as that was never our intention. What is our intention is to always operate in alignment with our school mission and tradition of excellence," France wrote.

KF should be making decisions to change things within their organization as they deem necessary.
Crazy stance on my part.

Yeah and if they don’t deem it necessary, some whiny baby beer maker shouldn’t be able to throw a tantrum about it and make them change.

Kehoe-France did nothing wrong, and they look great in this
They clearly werent trying to offend anyone
When it was brought to their attention they were offending a few white males, they apologized and said they would rectify it

kyle france probably felt pressured to appease the social justice warrior who smeared him in the press. he said they'd review it and apologize...translation: we'll appease you and make you feel like you accomplished something and then you can go find someone else to bully or something else to be upset about and we'll keep the names.
Pretty much.

Is this a white guy pretending to project offense on native people?

That's what the statement says. Hence the 'As it should be'

Just as you have a few vocal minority disagreeing with Scott on here and on his page, you have a few vocal minority agreeing with him and blasting their Facebook/Phone/E-Mails etc...
No one really won because Scott may have hurt his business a bit and the School/Camp got drug through the mud as if they were doing something racist.

Basically told them... "we'll think about it." We all know how that usually goes.
