frick his June extension. I hope every single float at Mardi Gras skewers him. There is a shite load of material now. The krewes better not puss out. The guys fricking life goal right now is to use the tricentential Mardi Gras to boost his post mayoral career. We, as citizens, need to make that impossible for him. Fill the city with horrid imagery of his transgressions so they are seen my every news camera here.

Ruin that fricker's week.

He figured it out when he realized Grant was going to just sit there and not say a word. He felt the bus rolling right over him.

No. Unfortunately, I think he figured it out halfway through Gray's questioning. You could literally see the moment it happened. The way he started his time he had no idea. He was chipper and excited. At the end he was completely defeated.

Ms. Bloodworth is ready for battle and ain't happy.

She wants the prisoners to come out and clean the drains and trash.

I'm 100% behind her!

If the canal by her has all the things in it that she says they do, that's just inexcusable.

The meetings are archived on the same site it's streamed from.

Mitch is making enemies faster than he can afford I think.

Between everyone he pissed off with the statues, all the contractors he pissed off with the bourbon street project, Frank Stewart Jr., the residents he just pissed off with this flood and his lack of response, all the careers he just ruined at S&WB, Scurlock, etc...

He has to go down right?

Gosh, I hope so. What's done is done, so I hope this debacle becomes several black eyes and keeps him from ever holding public office again.

Yep. Here's how that probably went down. He was the political constructed fall guy and it ended clicked in his head. :

He had a closed door meeting set up by Grant and Landrieu. He was told to go out there and give excuses and apologize and read the company script and he would be given Grant's job. He was excited and happy to serve the powers that be. And a part of him probably genuinely cared about the city. He's given a few talking points and coached on how to lie correctly.

Then Grant retires to avoid the mess and issues a statement about false information from others at S&WB which he had no knowledge of. Effectively shielding himself from liability.

Then at the hearing he rereads his statement about the inexcusable lies in the S&WB and turns it over to Becker.

Becker repeats what he was coached upon and precedes to get ground to a pulp, takes the full brunt of the public lashing, and has the rug and his career pulled out from under him. He never saw it coming.

Just watch his closing statement about how he severs the city for 20 years and wants to continue to serve the city and rebuild trust. Gut wrenching stuff.

Grant gets to cast all of the blame on Becker and Landrieu gets to publicly fire a fall guy.

One thing I can say after watching this unfold today is why isn't Jason Williams running for Mayor?

Charbonnet is too busy lining her pockets to give a rats arse but Williams did a terrific job taking control and showing leadership today.

Not to mention his beef with JBE, Leon Canazzario, John Kennedy, and Jeff Landry, and David Vitter if you want to count him.

He litterally had zero support from anyone that matters.

His count sister is irrelevant and can't help his Bitch arse anymore.

I see a very dark future for him.

He got you hook like and sinker.

Because the cameras were on him. That was a masterful politician at work. Which it makes it all the more infuriating when they all act incompetent and ignorant on a daily basis. Him and Gray both scored points today with alot of people, of that I have no doubt. They know elections are are coming up. But that council has had plenty of time to prove themselves and they have consistently failed to do so. One day is not redemption in my eyes. However, I'll try and learn to forgive them if they completely throw Landrieu under the bus. We'll see what this week brings.

I think Williams now sees Landrieu as being completely powerless and he can now assert his full-fledged attacks at him because Landrieu is beyond unpopular. I don't disagree with you at all BTW but he is still better than anyone running for Mayor right now.

You don't get to claim a sympathetic role for agreeing to partake in the cover up and then being publicly found out - regardless of whether grant sold him down the river.

I agree with this as well. If that's what happened.

Maybe the poor guy was just completely naive and got blind sided. I don't know.

He's been working for the S&WB for 30 years. He's the crook in crooked. He knew exactly what he was doing, he just ran out of rope.
