NOLA Photo Ticket - Car since sold

Got a NOLA traffic light speeding ticket from 3.5+ years ago on a car we no longer own (and a license plate no longer associated with our current vehicles).
First, are there any ramifications for not paying it? My understanding is NOLA can boot you but that is only if you have the same license plate and park on the streets. And I believe there is nothing they can do to your credit.
Secondly, any way to appeal this? We lived in BR on the day cited in the ticket and our credit card charges show we were in BR all day.

Send the ticket to a landfill and forget you ever saw it.

Dont worry about it at all. I know people in Orleans Parish who have received five plus speeding violations from the mounted cameras. No boots yet!

Take a photo of the exact amount of cash the fine is and mail it in. It works

From my understanding, New Orleans officials will seek to enforce unpaid tickets for previous Madza (and KIA) owners and will seek collection efforts, suspend driver's license and notify your insurance company, along with booting and towing your current vehicle.
Ford, Chevy and Dodge owners all "dodged" a bullet. No word on Honda, Toyota, or Nissan ... yet.
