Do Uber drivers make tips?

True....kinda assumed 16-18 an hour after fuel costs, depreciation, maintenance isn't unreasonable...but even if it's 12-14 an hour take home, the cabbie makes 25k a year...how much should a cab driver make?
Uber only takes 15%...today's system the first $100 in rides goes straight to the cab owner....unless you own your own cab, the cab owners are ripping off the cabbies
eta: I could be wrong about the first $100 as that was told to me by a disgruntled cabbie

Cabbies now want to ask the City of New Orleans if they can raise the rates.

So do a lot of the Uber drivers not have day jobs, or do some do it as a side job on weekends/nights?

My bad. I see it if you log in online via browser, but not in app.

That's just for any Taxi trips you request through Uber. It says it isn't for UberX, Black or SUV.

No, it's part of their share program. You share the code with others...they get a discount and you get Uber credits.
You can find a ton of other codes online to use for free credits. I haven't actually paid for an Uber ride yet because I'm still using up credits I received when I joined. I have like $10 left in Uber credits to use and another $30 in Lyft credits.
Plus UberX rides are also 25% off all summer long.
