"No turn on red" camera issued ticket

I recently found out I was issued a $200 ticket for turning right at a red light in Chicago (caught on camera) in July. I live in Georgia and was visiting there for a few days during the summer. I just received a notice for the offense a week ago (letter is dated December 11, 2015). Has anyone else received a ticket for this offense? $200 seems pretty steep to me. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Honestly man, I think I just missed the sign. I don't remember willfully breaking the law while I was driving there

I know in Alabama it doesn't go on your record and they won't put out a FTA warrant. Unless you go to Chicago in that car a lot I'd say frick it.

Respond with a letter stating your Parent/SO/sibling was driving the vehicle at that time and they have since passed away.

Write them back and tell them if they want to issue you a ticket then they can kindly do so in person like a southern gentleman.

The other thing is that I have literally never heard of anyone getting a camera issued ticket for turning right at a red light. I have heard of people getting a camera issued ticket for running a red light, but not the former.
