My alarm company added a no soliciting sign in my yard. Other alarm companies knock on my door all the time. I walk them to the sign turn around and go inside.

I bet 40% of them have no idea what "no solicitation" means.
Put a sign out and list the following:
- Do not come in to try to sell us shite, we are not buying it.
- Do not come in asking for money, you will not get any.
- No. You are not able to use the bathroom.
- We are currently not hiring anyone.

You could reword it, but be specific and I bet it decreases the amount of people who come in.
