We were never in danger of running out of regular hospital beds, there are plenty of those. The problem was ICU beds and there has been no significant bump there.

When COVID patients are bad off enough do they need an ICU bed for anything besides a vent? Generally speaking ICU gets much more attention paid to them than typical beds, but hospitals have COVID wings where I'm sure treatment protocol is different than typical patients if/when they get severe.
I am not familiar enough with the medical system to understand those nuances.

Yes, we have 6 total covids in ICU now but only 4 on vent. Its just people you are worried might crash and need to be intubated soon or require pressors or something.

Our percent positive has hovered around 7-7.5% for the last week. The goal to get to Phase 2 was to be under 10%.
They haven't been drastically going up the entire time, just bumped up about 3 weeks after going into Phase 2. Or, the more accurate way to look at it 1-2 weeks after the protests started.
