worse than that is when they bring a kid to something that common sense should tell you is adults only. For my birthday I invited some guys over to smoke cigars and do kinda of bring your own bottle whiskey tasting...dude told me he was bringing his kid last second but said he would stay on his ipad the whole time so I said whatever cool. Kid spent the entire night throwing shite into our firepit and interrupting ever damn conversation us adults attempted to have.

I’m all for not having kids but in 10years you will laugh that this was your priorities. Your poor wife

I'm 30, she's 29. Obviously our priorities are subject to change in the next 10 years but as of right now we both have decent paying jobs and enjoy traveling. Along with a couple away LSU/Saints games each year we also do an international trip and target a fish we've never caught before. Last two years we have done Costa Rica and Cabo, haven't decided where 2019 will take us. I don't think our priorities are too crazy.

I think he meant that your priorities sounded like "shite I do without the wife."

You sound just like my wife and me. Traveling, sports games, etc. We want kids but not right now.

Having my daughter is the greatest blessing in my life

Being her daddy is an honor and privilege, not a job.

You’re a sad man

I do laugh at the married guys that brag about not having kids and all their freedom when the same logic applies to not getting married

at least rocket keeps it real with marriage too

ah,nah she's awesome and right there with me on all these trips. Been together since junior year of high school. We shall see if she stays on board with no kids in the future

True

I agree with his point about marriage, but as birth rates continue to decline the human species will at some point become extinct.

I’m not saying we should resort to the Stone Age, but I am saying I think the evolutionary drive/desire is still there

if i wanted kids, id probs do the marriage thingy too but without a desire for children it seems kinda pointless

Luckily the wife and I are on the same page on this. I'm 30 and she's 26 so still time to kill.

obviously

but growth for the sake of growth is the same philosophy that cancer would have if cancer were sentient.

infinite growth on this one planet is impossible, some of us need to be evolutionary failures ;)

Meh

At the same time, I have my time with her and I’m still a better dad than damn near anyone bc of how my dad was to me regardless of my previous marriage and the limited time I may have.

I have a great meaningful career, I also enjoy my life a hell of a lot. I was raised and brought up to be selfless

At the end of the day to each their own.

I've argued that the people that don't want kids have a mental defect/disorder

that really gets them going

Obviously not everyone should

I think there’s some validity to that

I don’t think everyone is wired the same

I do wonder if there are brain structural differences

well i mean youre a smarter dude than most around here

but i think we can both agree that a lot of stupid arse people reproduce and should not be doing so.

then they cope with the poor decision afterward
