Why would you think something like paintless dent removal have to be disclosed? I've seen hoods repainted due to rock chips without disclosure as it's not necessary.

Wrong, in Louisiana.

I bought a new Accord for one of the little Füts from a LA dealership a week before they were to start their Senior year of college out of state.

They take the new car off to school, about a week later the dealership’s GM calls me to ask me if I can come by the dealership to meet with him.

I meet with him, he tells me that the vehicle that they sold to me was fixed from a parking lot accident (a painless dent repair on the front quarter) and that was not disclosed to me.

He said I was welcomed to pick out any like vehicle on the lot as a replacement and return the original Accord.

I told him he was welcomed to put my kid in a like rental and deliver the replacement to where my kid was OR $1,500 cash makes this problem go away.

He took my payoff offer, I signed the waiver.

tl/dr: New Car dealerships presale must disclose any repairs on retail units in LA.
