New vehicle tracking information

Anyone know of a website to look up new vehicle delivery information? I have discussed with the dealer but get minimal information on exactly when the vehicle will actually be shipped.

Once it actually ships, it depends on what rail it ships on, or if you're close enough by truck. Then once it reaches a rail yard, what trucking company will transport it from there to the dealer. Prior to that it's going to depend on whatever trackers the manufacturer has during the build process.

Railroads are having difficulties now . They phucked their employees so hard in the past now they refuse to come to work (one railroad is forcing their traincrews to work 14 days straight without a day off). Also they can't handle the uptick in demand.

I would think that high end companies (mclaren, mercedes, ferrari, whatever would have a way to show progress.

Depends completely on the manufacturer.
I bought one car in the past where they had a website where I could go to and see where the ship was located at any given time. I got notified when my car was loaded on a ship, when it was offloaded, etc...

Has the car been built and you are waiting on delivery, or are you trying to figure out how long it will take to be built?
GM can connect you to onstar to track your car before it is delivered. I did that to one and saw it sit in a parking lot in Arlington for 2 weeks.

The vehicle is a Toyota and I actually have a VIN.

It’s extremely hit or miss. I ordered a Mach1 in March of 2021 and didn’t get it delivered until November 2021. ford has its own tracking site, but once it leaves their factory it gets dicey. My car sat in a rail yard in Atlanta for over a month waiting for a truck to bring it to Panama City.
Once a window sticker is generated you can get the rail car information and track it in most instances
