I have a seperate app that trains you to speed read. Thats called sub-vocalization. In order to speed read they ween you off the need to say words aloud to yourself as you read. Instead you just see the meaning of the word as you read.

I'd rather shave with a fork than read like that. I got nauceous just trying one of the higher speeds.

Except it would be impossible to fully retain the information you are reading. When I read subjects I'm interested in, I often like to pause and contemplate the ideas I've read and weigh alternatives and other concepts that it relates to. That is impossible doing this. How someone can use this technique and read material with great depth of subject matter is beyond me. Props if you can do it I guess but I can't see how.
