But that is the question. Do you need an outsider? Is the system not working so you need revamp it?
Management oft goes outside for a hire, but there isn't really a need to. Can create just as many problems as it solves.
Remember, LSU went outside and hired Alleva.

No there really wasn't a need, all 3 "inside" guys that applied are very much qualified to keep the ship afloat...I wasn't being negative or critical of Joe Murphy, just had an opinion that there was an outside(no pun intended) shot at an outsider because I think everyone assumed the other superintendent was going to apply and he'd be the choice.

Also was a good football coach in his day.
