The 3 hyenas. They are less aggressive and more cautious than any male lion protecting it's territory. But 400 pounds for a male African lion would out of its prime, not that it would matter.

Not exactly. Hyenas have a tremendous bite and it's well documented. But lions, especially males, also have a very strong bite and are working larger and heavier jaw articulation. I doubt the difference is huge.

So the thing about hyenas, their poo is white. This is from the bones that they eat. That’s how strong their jaws are.
Other thing about hyenas, on my first trip to Africa, one of our Masai hosts told us that hyenas would sneak into your boma (their mud huts), bite off a piece of your leg and run away and eat it. That’s messed up, yo.
Supposedly the wild dogs in Africa will eat you while you’re still alive. I’m not sure about hyenas despite my last paragraph. At least the wild cats have the decency to kill you before eating you.
